Job Description

The Northwestern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PERPAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is Seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community).

JOB PURPOSE: To coordinate and undertake the provision HIV/TB mentorship programs in order to improve the capacity of service providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates and conducts review of facility program data for gap identification and implementation of quality improvement efforts in collaboration with the facility QI team. Further coordinates efforts to ensure facility adheres to service quality standards stipulated in National guidelines.
• Provides technical support and mentorship to facility staff in the ART clinic providing direct clinical care to recipients of care, carefully identifying technical support and mentorship needs and addressing them appropriately
• Effectively manages the development and implementation of public health capacity building programs to impart appropriate skills and knowledge in practitioners and stakeholders
• Coordinates and undertakes HIV/TB mentorship programs in order to improve clinical outcomes
• Undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation of HIV/TB programs in order to facilitate appropriate interventions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Secondary Education:

Full Grade 12 Certificate with at Least Five O level credits or better
Minimum Vocational/Professional Experience

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
o Three (3) years
o Experience in HIV Programing
Communication Skills:
(i) Written Skills

Ability to write comprehensive reports
(ii) Oral Skills:

Able to communicate effectively in English
