ART PROVIDER -REGISTERED NURSE (2 POSITIONS) – DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICE

Job Description

The Northwestern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PERPAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is Seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community).

JOB PURPOSE: To undertake the provision of HIV/TB services in order to facilitate the achievement of HIV/TB objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises and undertakes effectively HIV/TB case identification in order to facilitate linkage to treatment.
• Undertakes effectively provision of HIV/TB treatment, care and support services in order to facilitate improved clinical outcomes.
• Supervises and undertakes effectively provision of HIV/TB treatment retention services in order to facilitate improved clinical outcomes.
• Undertakes effectively HIV/TB prevention services in order to reduce incidence rates.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

Secondary Education: Full Grade 12 School Certificate with Five O Level Credits or
better

Professional Qualifications:

Diploma in Nursing or equivalent

Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:

 Three years’ relevant experience

 Affiliated to Nurses and Midwifery Council of Zambia

Communication Skills:

(i) Written Skills

Ability to write comprehensive reports

(ii) Oral Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English

(iii) Other skills/Attributes:

Interpersonal relations, courtesy, confidentiality
