Job Description
The Northwestern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PERPAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is Seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community).
JOB PURPOSE: To undertake accounting functions in order to enhance accountability of public funds and adherence to financial regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Undertakes effectively maintenance of finance records in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information
• Undertakes timely preparation of financial reports in order to facilitate decision making
• Undertakes effectively preparation of responses to audit queries in order to facilitate decision making
• Undertakes effectively processing of payroll outputs in order to facilitate payments of salaries, other allowances and recoveries
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES
Secondary Education:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
Professional Qualifications:
Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accounts (ZICA)
Communication Skills
i) Written Skills:
Able to write comprehensive reports
ii) Oral Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English
Other Skills/Attributes
Computer literate Confidentiality Integrity Numerical skills
