PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (11 POSITIONS) – DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICE

Job Description

The Northwestern Provincial Health Office under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PERPAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is Seeking for eligible, self-motivated and qualified applicants for the positions listed below for the various levels (Provincial, District, Facility and Community).

7. JOB TITLE : PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (11 POSITIONS) JOB PURPOSE:
To undertake the provision of pharmaceuticals in order to facilitate treatment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertakes effectively drug storage in order to facilitate accountability.

• Undertakes effectively the dispensing of medicines in order to facilitate treatment.

• Undertakes effectively the provision of pharmacovigilance services in order to facilitate decision making.
• Undertakes effectively and timely the preparation and submission of pharmaceutical reports in order to facilitate decision making.
• Undertakes effectively and timely the preparation and submission of pharmaceutical reports in order to facilitate decision making.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

Secondary Education:

Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 O level Credits or better

Professional Qualifications:

 Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent.

 Affiliated to HPCZ with valid practicing license

Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:

Nil

Communication Skills:

(i) Written Skills

Ability to write comprehensive report

(ii) Oral Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Other skills/Attributes:
• Computer literate
• Interpersonal skills
• Confidentiality

• Numerical skills
