HYGIENE SUPERVISOR – HUNTLEY FARM CHISAMBA (X1)

Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region.  It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

 The Required Skills for this Role Include:    

• Supervising all cleaning staff, focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behaviour whilst on duty.
• Ensuring that a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the Truck and Office Cleaning
• Reviewing work schedules
• Ordering of cleaning materials
• Ensuring that all the staff is aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Supervising the emptying of bins in the offices and trucks, and ensuring that waste is sorted and disposed of in a proper way.
• Ensuring that all detergent and sanitiser dispensers are filled at all times and the chemicals used in the plant are labelled
• Checking and inspecting all Trucks for cleanliness and swabbing thoroughly before loading as per Zambeef Requirements.
• Record keeping; weekly cleaning checklist, personal hygiene audit etc.
• Responsible for maintenance of discipline in line with laid down procedures as outlined in the Disciplinary Code and Grievance Handling Procedure Handbook.
• Educating all staff on the chemical handling procedure as the specific chemical
• Ensuring that all staff have the Correct PPE at all times in their respective area of operations
• Ensuring that cleaning chemicals and materials are stored properly and that all hygiene activities comply with safety guidelines.

The Required Qualifications are:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma or better in Environmental Health or related field
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field
• Prior experience in supervising a team is highly desirable
• Must be a Member of HPCZ

• Strong knowledge of hygiene regulations and best practices
